Project Lead – Public Forum on Renewable Energy in partnership with the Canadian Commission for UNESCO

Brian is a postdoctoral researcher studying plasmonic photocatalysis for enhanced solar energy conversion at Imperial College London in the UK. His research at the intersection of experiment and simulation aims to improve the performance and understanding of water splitting and other useful reactions such as pollution degradation. Brian is originally from Vancouver and completed his undergraduate degree in physics and chemistry at UBC. His interest in science policy stems from an internship at the UK parliament where he wrote a research briefing for parliamentarians on options for wholesale electricity market reform. Since joining SPE in 2022, Brian has volunteered for select initiatives and is excited to help lead the public forum on renewable energy.
